About the Kenwood UBZ-LJ9SET Radios

The Kenwood UBZ-LJ9SET are a twin pack of PMR446 Radios, PMR stands for Personal Mobile Radio and 446 is the UHF frequency range on which license free radios are permitted to operate.

The lightweight and compact design of the UBZ-LJ9 Radio's ensures that they fit perfectly into the palm of your hand, whilst providing simple, reliable and affordable, straight out of the communication for users.

Making calls with the Kenwood UBZ-LJ9 Radios couldn't be easier, just press the push to talk button and speak into the Radio. Everyone that is connected to the same channel will hear you.

The Radio's include 32 channels, a battery with up to 18 hours of battery life VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) as well as a 2.5mm / 3.5mm port for connecting accessories such as Headsets.

Compact, Light and Easy to Operate

The UBZ-L9SET Radio puts you firmly in control of your communication. Weighing just 138g the Radio is ultra lightweight and easy to operate, whilst fitting comfortably in the plam of your hand, in your pocket and on your belt.

Long Battery Life

The removable lithium-ion battery on the UBZ-LJ9 has a capacity of 1150mAh, enabling an operating time of up to 18 hours (5% transmission, 5% receiving, 90% standby). The Radio's comes with a USB-C Cable, meaning that they can be charged either via USB or via a Power bank. The batteries can also be charged whilst not in use.

Battery Level Display

When the Radio is turned on, the battery level and the current selected channel are displayed for a short time. Battery level can also be viewed via the menu.

Long Range and Noise Level Lock

With 500-mW transmission power, the Radio's have a range of up to 6km*. The adjustable noise level block means that reception sensitivity can be adjusted and optimised.

Integrated VOX Function

The Integrated VOX Function in conjunction with a Headset make it possible to use voice controls for transmission. The response sensitivity can be set in three stages via the operating menu.

32 Channels with QT/DQT Selective Calling

Up to 32 channels in the PMR446 frequency range can be set on the Radio. This enables the UBZ-LJ9 to contact all commercially available PMR446 radio sets. In addition, when QT/DQT selective calling is activated, only the subscribers with the same signal tone can be received or contacted.

Selectable Ringtones

Up to 20 different ringtones can be allocated to individual users. this makes it easier to identify users by their allocated ringtone.

Kenwood Accessory Socket

The practical Kenwood System cable makes it easy to use optional audio acessories including Headsets and Speakerphones
