Intrinsically Safe DMR Handheld Radio

For many workers, Two Way Radios are an indispensable tool. For those working in environments containing explosive gases, combustible dust or mining vapors, they are safety critical. With its market leading robust design and intrinsic safety, the PD795Ex handheld Radio from Hytera guarantees reliable communication in the most hazardous environments.

The PD795 Ex Handheld Radio is compliant with the open ETSI standard for DMR. Compliance with the European ATEX Directives, the FM standard, the IEC standard, as well as its impressive, robust design, guarantee reliable communication, even in hazardous environments where explosive gases and combustible dust are likely to occur.

Highlights

Durability

Besides meeting the requirements of the European ATEX and IEC Directives, as well as the North American FM standard, Hytera PD795Ex is compliant with the MIL-STD-810C/D/E/F/G standard and is dust and water resistant to protection class IP67.The Radio is therefore rugged and long lasting and can withstand the toughest treatment users can throw at it!.

Fail Safe Design

The use of batteries or accessory components with a lower level of protection automatically triggers an alarm so that errors of this type cannot occur. A full intrinsically safe accessory portfolio is available to improve your user experience.

Meticulous Encapsulation

The Radio and its battery are encapsulated, so that all internal switches are protected from, and sealed against hazardous explosive gases and dust particles.

High Strength LCD Protective Cover

The high strength LCD protective cover is scratch resistant and can even withstand being struck by a 1-kg hammer.

Innovative Battery Latch

The patented battery locking system ensures that if the Radio falls onto a hard surface, the battery cannot detach.

Integrated GPS as Standard

The integral GPS module means that the PD795Ex Radio is able to send location data to a dispatcher system. Dispatchers can evaluate this information and use functions such as geofencing, radio localization and GPS tracking to improve safety and well being.

Built-In Safety Features

As well as GPS :Location Services, the Radio are designed with Lone Worker, Man Down and Emergency Mode to help safeguard the workforce.

Features

Priority Interrupt

Send a Priority Transmission to interrupt other calls, ideal for important and critical messages.

Pseudo Trunking

Using Pseudo Trunking, a Hytera patented technology, slots can be shared to improve capacity usage with transmissions either direct to handset or to repeater.

Intelligent Audio

Combining noise cancelling technology to remove background noise from the transmission, with powerful speakers to deliver clear communications.

GPS

Enabling location based services to improve safety and control.

Roaming

This feature allows the radio to switch between sites on Multi-site Conventional and XPT systems, ensuring seamless communication.

Lone Worker

The Lone Worker feature uses a timer in the radio to measure inactivity. If the timer expires, a warning is issued, and if there is no response to that, the alarm is triggered.

Emergency Mode

Raise an alarm with top priority to a Base Station or to other Two Way Radios with the pre-programmed emergency mode, identifying the ID of the person issuing the alarm. Also receive emergency notifications.

Man Down

The man down feature will let you know if the radio has been tilted past a certain angle. This may happen for instance if the radio user has fallen over or is unconscious or injured. The alarm will be triggered after a warning is issued to the user.

Radio Programming & Licencing

This Radio Requires a License to Operate.

  • An Ofcom radio operator's license will need to be Purchased before using the Radio - Please Click Here to Purchase a License
  • At PMC, we will program the Radio/s to your new or existing Licensed frequency before we dispatch the radio/s to you.

Ergonomic Product Design

Even in low light situations the PD795Ex display is easy to see. The large keys and non-slip surface on both radio models ensure that they can be reliably and safely operated, even when wearing gloves

Dustproof and Waterproof

The PD795Ex Radio is resistant to water and dust in accordance with protection class IP67 and can therefore withstand a water depth of one meter for at least half an hour.

Different Digital and Analogue Operating Modes

In addition to conventional DMR Radio (DMR Tier II) and Analogue Radio, the PD795Ex supports operation in DMR trunked radio (DMR Tier III via chargeable license), XPT Digital Trunking, Simulcast and MPT 1327.
