The Entel DX482 DMR Digital Radio is compact, MIL-STD and has an IP68 rating. The DX482 delivers outstanding audio, clarity, quality and volume that needs to be compared to other DMR Radio's to be fully appreciated.

General Features:

Environmental Protection to IP68 (2 Metres for 4 Hours)

The DX482 enjoys an IP68 rated construction, meaning that the Radio is dust protected and can be submersed into 2 metres of water for up to 4 hours, even with the accessory cover removed.

MIL STD 810C/D/E/F/G

Meeting MIL-STD 810C/D/E/F/G and providing commercial grade construction for tough, enduring performance. The Entel DX482 conforms to stringent standards, enabling the Radio to withstand the everyday rigours of shock, vibration and the corrosive effects of dust and moisture, ensuring many years of trouble free use.

Robust Accessory Socket

The DX482 Radio's Accessory Socket has been specifically designed so that when an accessory is secured to the Radio, the connection can withstand any amount of punishment, from misuse to dropping. The DX482 retains its IP68 rating even when the accessory cover is removed.

Li-Ion Battery Technology andImproved Talk Time

The DX482 is supplied with the latest intelligent Lithium-Ion Battery technology as standard. One key advantage of Lithium-Ion battery technology is the way it eliminates memory effect, meaning there is no need to fully discharge your battery before re-charging. As a result of this, a full charge is assured each time you take the battery from its charger. The DX482 also benefits from TDMA Digital Mode signalling that increases battery endurance by up to 40%, ensuring longer standby and talk times.

Field Upgradeable to Add Future Features

Entel adds and improves features on its Radio's by way of free software updates. Using Entel's innovative End User Programmer app, the Entel DX482 can be easily upgraded without the need to send the Radio back to the dealer or the dealer having to come to visit the site to implement these changes.

Convenience:

TDMA Two-Slot Direct Mode (aka - Two Slot Simplex)

The DMR Digital standard splits a single 12.5Khz Analogue channel into two separate channels, therefore doubling the number of channels available to the Radio user. Two Slot operation is normally only possible when a DMR Repeater is included in the system. However the DX482 overcomes this restriction on both Simplex and DMR446 channels so both channels (slots) are always available to the user no matter what the channel type.

Mixed Mode Operation

In Mixed Mode Operation, the Radio can receive both DMR Digital and Analogue modes without the user having to change channel. Mixed Mode is beneficial where both Analogue and Digital Radio's are being used together, e.g where a customer is migrating from an existing Analogue Radio System to a DMR Digital Radio System.

Keylock

The Keys and Controls on the DX482 can be locked to avoid accidental operation.

Individual, Group Calling and Caller ID

Entel's DX482 provides both Individual and Group Calling, which can be selected via the channel control and on the display models, the Radio's large contact list. Display models can also display caller ID.

Programmable Channel Monitor Button

If you have channel protection enabled on your DX482, all signals other than your own networks will be filtered out. This can be temporarily disabled allowing you to monitor all signals on your channel.

Safety:

Personal Attack Button

The Licensed DX482 includes a programmable personal attack button. Once activated, the Radio will send an alarm to other Radio/s as well as sounding a local alarm.

Lone Worker and Man Down Alarms

Entels Licensed DX482 is designed to protect lone workers. The Radio's Lone Worker timer checks the Radio's user is ok, if there is no response received, the Radio will automatically send an alarm call to other Radio/s. The local alarm additionally alerts non radio users in the vicinity to the emergency. Should someone fall and become unconscious, the optional Man-Down sensor can automatically send an alarm.

Privacy:

The DX482 provides enhanced security as standard, therefore providing additional protection compared to Analogue Radio's.
