Easy to Use

With the BT8500 you can save up to 200 contacts. All these contacts are automatically copied to all of your handsets. You can also see a list of who's called you, who has left a voice message, and then choose which message to listen to first. The screen has also been specially designed to be large enough for easy text messaging. The BT8500 has excellent sound quality, meaning you won't miss a word of your calls or messages. The durable, backlit buttons are easy to see any time of day. This phone also comes with Outgoing call control, allowing you to prevent any surprises on your bill by PIN protecting calls to Mobile, International, Premium Rate numbers, or even all outgoing calls. This can also be useful for elderly relatives who may generate large call costs unknowingly. Never miss a call with the Call Waiting feature--the BT8500's screen shows you who's trying to get through and, at the press of a button, you can switch to the new call or reject it. We've also made it easy to divert calls to your mobile or other numbers when you are away from home. If you want to have a 3-way call the BT8500 helps you get it set up in a few simple steps.

Advanced Call Blocking Features

Block by number, type or Do not Disturb. You can block 1000 individual numbers and you can choose the type of calls you want to block such as mobile, international, withheld, unknown or payphone numbers. You can even block numbers by area code or suffix. For those times when you just want some peace and quiet, switch on Do Not Disturb so that your phone won't ring or light up. If you want key friends and family to still get through they can do, by tagging them as VIP's in your address book.

The BT8500 has a long range of up to 300m, which lets you carry on the conversation around the house and outside. It also allows you to talk hands-free--letting you get on with things while you chat. And, with a talk time of up to 21 hours and standby time of up to 310 hours, the BT8500 is great for those long conversations.
