The Doro 300i is an excellent fone, unfortunately the headset has quite a short cable, is rather small - for a big-head like me and loses voice quality.

The initial order was dealt with by a very efficient and courteous young man who was polite and knowledgeable. I was told the handsets would be with me within 2 days and would have an email invoice and another advising me of delivery time. The phones ordered on Monday were delivered by courier on Wednesday morning. The boxes opened, the phones have a solid build and are very pleasing to the eye and they have the look and feel of a high end mobile phone. This set was replacing a Binatone Activity 2000 quin set which gave me faithful service for some six years and whilst this system was rather limited in many ways, the sound quality and easy of calling were two of its benefits. Set up of the Siemens telephones was very easy. Remembering to read the instruction manual about setting up proved very helpful and a part of this was to ensure that once the phones were put on charge they were to be left there for SIX hours. Once this stage was completed, they were not to be returned to the base until they were fully discharged (and they are not as yet - a week later). This apparently helps the battery to hold its charge longer. Synchronising my outlook contacts from my computer was very easy to complete (I have over 300 contacts on there!) and once transferred to the handset it was an easy process to send all of these to each of the other handsets. Handset volume is reasonable although the volume on hands free could be louder. Sound quality is good. The menus are easy to navigate and there are many functions which can be altered to your taste. There is however a rather limited range of ring tones (I like the sound of an old fashioned telephone which isn't there) but these can be downloaded from the web and installed quite easily. The answerphone is easy to set up and check from any handset or remotely. Sending SMS's is also very easy on this system. The range of the handsets seems to be very good. I live in an older house and get good signals throughout with no drop outs or dead areas. Without sounding like a Siemens salesman (which I am not!), this is a quality system which both looks and performs well. Whilst it is rather expensive initially, the investment seems to be worthwhile for such an adaptable and high spec system.

I cannot rate this company enough, I ordered this phone on Sunday 31st and received it Tuesday 2nd. I was kept upto date at each stage of order and delivery processing. The phone itself is beautiful and is finished to such a high standard, with lots of detail in the design and fixtures on the phone (the detailing on the re-dail button is lovely) and looks beautiful in my home. The ringer sounds exactly like the old GPO telephones and has the little bell ring when you replace the headphone... its just fabulous! One very happy customer!!

I ordered this telephone online and received it within a couple of days of placing the order. The telephone was exactly as described on this site, and is really nice to use. We had a phone like this when I was a child, and it's really nice to have something that is both nostalgic and completely practical. The service I received from PMC was excellent, and I will definately use them again. I would recommend them. Great value and great service.

This is a really impressive piece of telephone technology. It looks great and has loads of facilities, yet is not the least bit difficult to set up and operate. If you don't need the extra clever bits, just don't use them. Everything about the system is excellent, with perfect sound quality both in and out. For me the most valued aspect is the handsfree speaker. No longer do I have to clutch the handset listening to stupid music. There's good volume control and you can hear it from yards away. Forget the usual "big name" phones which are generally more expensive and far less well built. The price alone should have people snapping up the NRX Evo 350...and if that isn't enough -- who else offers a 12 year warranty? Brilliant.

I have just received my new JPL headset and it is excellent. Far superior to any other headset which I have used. after buying 4 telephones from other suppliers and sending them back dissatisfied I spoke to a person at PMC and told them what I needed. They suggested the POWERTEL 58.They sent it very quickly and it does all that I wanted as they said it would! Clear speech, good answerphone, loud ringtones- perfect! Thanks PMC.

Like many others I nearly didn't buy this product due to the 'issues' everyone seemed to have setting it up with Panasonic phones...however...after reading the post on this site this and a few other posts like it elsewhere I went for it and it set up automatically in about 10 seconds (once I'd remembered to switch the handset to repeater mode - doh!). The only confusion was (as mentioned on this site) the 'tone' which I thought was the out of range tone but was in fact the 'verification tone'. Consequently, although the unit had set itself up perfectly as soon as I plugged it in, I spent about 20mins doing manual setups before realising that the 'chirp' was just the verification tone and I could deactivate it! Another 10 seconds following the procedure in the manual later and I had a fully functioning unit! The setup procedure flow charts are excellent, they just need and extra step to point you to the verification tone section. Quality is brilliant - 5 star product (with 4.5 star instructions!)

RTX 4002 GAP Compatible DECT Repeater (Range Extender) by Adam Scott

Initially had issues with this product, but this is mainly down to the documentation not being able to cover so many different models of phone. The 'chirp' on the line for identifying the unit is described as a tone in the instructions, but 'chirp' is a better description, it sounds more like a breakup in the call. This confused me as it's easy to activate by accident when you're constantly resetting the unit trying to get it to work. I've used these with Panasonic KXTG-652x series phones and the instructions don't quite match. The units seem to 'automatically' connect, but they don't actually register with the base station, if another base station is in range, they switch over to the one with the strongest signal automatically. You have to follow the manual registration procedure described on this website, but with a slight change... Setup the repeater for manual registration, press and hold the 'page' button on the base station, then when the LED on the repeater flashes frantically, you need to press the page button again briefly on the base station before you press the green call button on the phone and assign a number. Also, the number you assign to the repeater is not related to the number of handsets, we already had the maximum 6 handsets assigned to our base station but adding a repeater worked fine. It's also worth changing the way the repeater faces if you are having problems, it's presumably not an omni-directional antenna because turning the repeater to roughly face the base station worked far better in our tests.

RTX Wireless Phone Jack by Sean Dougall

This is an excellent product, especially if you have a building with just one BT socket on the ground floor. It eliminates extension wires, which are certainly unsightly in an old building and, as in my case, they tuck neatly away behind furniture. They also cost alot less than getting a Telephone Engineer in to fit sockets. The one minute installation is almost achievable, once you've opened the extremely robust packagin and read the easy-to-follow instructions (say another minute!). The additional extension sockets are good value, too, if you want to go into more than one room. The only downside is that you can't run a wireless hub off them (well, I can't get it to work) but that's no great issue in my case. PMC Telecom are excellent. I've purchased other products from them and service is personal and efficient.

Our company SonicClean has been using the slightly more expensive 6000 model and we have been very impressed with it's overall construction and performance. The unit is extremely simple to use and operate and even though it has just a single Transducer the results are very impressive. For a basic no nonsense machine which is very reasonably priced these James products represent excellent value for money. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED

This product works as it says on the box. Am using with C340 Base. Contrary to description this does work with the latest skype downloaded from the Skype website. I can make and recieve calls directly from the handset. Only drawback is that have to keep one machine on all the time and completely devoted to that Skype ID - not good for environment.

I bought my parents a simplaphone about a week ago and it is brilliant. They took to it straight away. The photos on the touch screen has made dialling so quick and easy - they are terrible with remembering phone numbers. They also received a lot of nuisance calls but now with the photo directory they can see a photo of incoming callers so they can screen their calls too. It has reassured me that they're not getting pestered anymore. I think it is a great product - this phone really has made my parents life easier and they love it!

I have long-term hearing problems and find it difficult talking on a standard telephone. I required something that could provide high amplification and clear clarity of sound. I found that pmc sold the amplipower 40 on the internet and after reading through the specifications, i was pleased. This phone had everything necessary for me to hold a basic conversatoin where i can hear the other person clearly. The hearing aid compatability feature is superb!
